2021 Valentine’s Day Concert for Seniors

We want to acknowledge Ms. Sylvia Lim and her studio in their service to local seniors! Knowing that many of the elderly in the area are suffering during this pandemic, Ms. Sylvia put together a virtual concert to be sent to local nursing and assisted living homes to lift the spirits of their residents. The concert can be viewed on our Special Events & Recitals Page!

Hal Leonard Vocal Competition

Congratulations to Ms. Sonia and her students who placed in the Hal Leonard Vocal Competition! The annual Hal Leonard Vocal Competition was founded in 2011 to encourage young singers from all over United States and Canada, from children through college undergraduates. Thousands of singers have participated in the competition, with top placing videos from 35 states and provinces, and over 40 colleges and universities. The Hal Leonard Vocal Competition was one of the first music competitions held entirely on YouTube.

2021 National Merit Scholarship Finalists

Congratulations to Ms. Sonia Yon’s students Shep Conroy and Julia O’Beirn who are finalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Awards. To be considered for a Merit Scholarship® award, Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition. About 90 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and about half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar® title.
